My homewrecker has done nothing for six months

Happens, I have a very little walt disney for 9 months that barely moved, or moves so slow that I can't see it

I’m in the same boat. It’s always the high priced corals that take the longest to grow.

Having incredible growth on new frags under my new Straton. If yours aren't growing under the ATI, you need to look at your water parameters and flow. I would also recommend using the presets on the ATI. They have those worked out really well.

Nice, I have the new Apogee MQ-510 Full Spectrum Underwater LED PAR Meter. I have only taken reading for my tank at 70%.

I have the Fixture hanging 14" inches over the top of the water. First SPS corals are about 8" inches under water down to 12" inches. At 8-12 inches I get 250 PAR at 70% using the Mixed SPS/LPS preset.

Halfway down I am getting about 180-200 PAR and on the sandbed I am still getting almost 200 PAR.

I have some SPS frags up top, Galaxea frag etc. Then I have LPS in the middles and the bottom. Couple of mushrooms on the bottom and an Aussie Frogspawn and Aussie Toadstool around mid.

Tank is 22 deep, Fixture 14" above.

Everything is doing great!

Just got two Stratons and am setting up curves and settings. Question on master/slave pairing: is it possible to group the two lights while also connected to my home wifi network? It seems that the pairing is only possible in Access Point mode. Sorry if this was answered elsewhere on the thread - I skimmed through it but didn't see anything.

Email Keith @ ATI USA [email protected] . It seems to be a bug in shipping firmware that they don't get associated properly as master:slaves and instead function as mirrored.

Interesting. It has been a while since I set mine up; I guess I did this the dumb way. I just set one up with the schedule/parameters I wanted and copied it (the .ison?) to the other two. The downside is one light is on a slightly different clock; by about 10 minutes.

You can synchronize the clock now. I am almost positive I remember seeing a time server in the advanced section of the admin panel that allows you to do do.

A 2.5 minute, very poorly done video of my DIY Straton light rack. Cheap, easy to put together. Hopefully it works and stays level. Right now it is just dry fitted. I will next drill some holes in the Z flange and screw it together.

Does anything about this DIY design or material CONCERN any of you? Pleased to hear from you.

First, thanks to all the contributors, especially @Reef-Engineer for starting it off with a great review. Apologize if this has been covered but my understanding is the ati straton brackets from the German video will not be available until q4? Is the current easiest solution for a not diy person the rms mount and sliding these over? If yes, would the rms track work for a 7 ft tank with three of these? I believe based on what I've read 3 should be fine for a 30" wide tank. I may have a little less coverage on the end but planning on trying to avoid wall to wall corals. If the rms track isn't strong enough, how hard is @ScottB 's solution?

I used an RMS with 4 Stratons over my 8’ using 3 ceiling attachments. I didn’t like it as the lights never want to stay level with the power cords unless they go the length of the tank instead of to the back

You can buy 1/2” aluminum a bar and drill the holes to make the brackets

I was just looking at that bar in the video. I have seen that used in something else and can't place it. What's the exact name of that aluminum stock? You should be able to buy that most anywhere.

The Ecotech RMS mounts aren't high enough in my experience. I have one new in the box beside me. I used it for about a week on a Radion and took it down. If it were me, I would build some that went higher than the 8 to 9 inches the RMS provides.

I wanted to mention one other thing, since I am sure some folks are saying "BUT HOW DO THE CORAL LIKE IT?!?!"

Well, it is over a tank finishing its cycle and kicking the uglies right now, the algae on the rocks is melting away but I have not moved the SPS over in full yet.

BUT in a vote of massive confidence, I put a 6" colony of TGC Cherry Bomb in there to see how it liked the light. Well, it is growing fast and you can judge for yourself how happy it is:

I cannot speak to the RMS solution personally, but having to balance each unit individually that way I would not advise now that I have fixed mine to a DIY rail.

As to my solution, it was cheap and not difficult if you have some tools for cutting and drilling. The challenge I mentioned in the video regarding "tipping" front to back was something to deal with. The wires are "fastened" so that their weight does not pull down at the back. For the final perfect balance though, I have thin steel plate laying on top that is was easier to move around to keep the rail (and 3 fixtures) level front to back. You can't see it, but it is there.

I have frags I purchased that have been under the light just a few days over 2 weeks. They have already grown by a lot and you can see a difference already.

I used the "Mixed Mode" which is the SPS/LPS color preset. My SPS are doing fantastic and my LPS have grown already and thriving.

Don't be worried at all about switching over, this isn't your everyday LED. ATI hit a grand slam with this setup.

Good catch on that, testing the PAR with an apogee 510 I'm hitting LPS with the same PAR values. For whatever reason they were not happy starting last night, I always ran the G5's at 50% UV so that maybe it.

Thanks man. Havnt heard anything back from Phillips yet. Stratons shipment is still few weeks away to New Zealand. Do you think I could run two rows kessil A360x/A500X on front and back and use 3 stratons in middle row ?

I just picked up 2 a360x’s to use along with my stratons on my new build, not really for par or fill light just shimmer. The last time I used a Kessil was for a 20 gallon tank so I can’t speak to how they would work. Looks like the 500’s would work along with them. I temp mounted the Kessil’s and the Stratons really mute the shimmer

Wow thanks for sharing these pics - stunning corals. Your tank looks quite mature (lots of coralline). How old is it? Thanks for sharing your ATI Stratton light schedule - much appreciated. Your various color nodes - are those using different pre-defined color settings that ATI included or are all of your color settings custom? Once again - congrats on the growth of your corals!
