ATI Straton LED Light - Comments, Review, PAR, Coverage, Discuss...

I have a 60”x30”x24” high tank... do I need three Straton or will two be sufficient? I put in an order for two, as it is more economical... but it seems you could fit three.
two will work just fine - if you feel later that you want more light you can always add a kessil in-between.

I have 4 stratons above my tank for allmost 3 months, 100% coverage and I LOVE them!
Evenly spread light and in my eyes no disco at all.
Tank is 200x80x70

Grtz,

Looks great - what is your mounting height? Did you do your own custom light program or use the SPS Default one from ATI? Congrats on such a beautiful tank!

How does the light look visually compared to T5s? Is it bright or is it similar to the dim look that LEDs generally have?

Anecdotally speaking, I have mine on the mixed reef setting and would call them "very bright" and more similar to t5's than other lights I have had (I believe) largely because of the diffuser they have.

Hello! I have now gotten and had my local fish store help me install three stratons over my 150cm tank. I really enjoy the spread and the colour, it is a bit more blue in the pictures than in real life.

I am running it at 65% on LPS/SPS and will observe how the corals respond.

You rock. The brackets are their own thing, could easily 80/20 something with those now!

Is it possible to hang the Straton on an Ecotech rail setup?

Hi all, This is a wonderful tread, i have 2 stratons myself but no par meter. So this is awesome. I do have question regarding par and the different presettings. my Front pannel is set to LPS and the middle and back are set to sps/lps. I was wondering how much par do i get when using the LPS setting at 100% and at 60%. In my hello thread i posted my current settings and pictures of my tank. I sincerely hope someone will help me find the answer so that i can use the right intensity per setting. THANKS!

I did that at first, should be a photo somewhere in this thread. You really need a way to hard mount the lights to the rail. I found some 1/2 aluminum c channel you could mount to the somehow
