I’m considering AWC on my nano AIO. But I imagine without ATO or even topping off manually, that salinity would creep up over time. Is that the case? Those who do AWC, do you also top off with RODI?

Yes an ato is necessary.

Thanks.I changed your title. Always best to say what the topic is.
Necessary no, but what % of reefers do it manually by hand?Useful in all situations, but why necessary, or even more usual than normal when using an AWC?

Maybe noobs start with no ato but they have always been necessary on my systems for sg stability.
Should be the same for everyone else right?
Yea I get it but I have to disagree and believe that ato's are needed whether using the awc method or not.I’m all for ATO. It just is not needed “more” or “less” just because one is using awc, which is what the op was asking. :)
You are saying exactly what Randy is saying. He agrees that they are useful, but not anymore useful if you use AWC.Yea I get it but I have to disagree and believe that ato's are needed whether using the awc method or not.
