I added aluminum strut under the stand. Painted with 5 coats of paint. I rubber coated the clevis hangers, and swapped out the all thread and hardware with nylon. Only exposed metal are the spring nuts. I tried to rubber coat them, which turned out great, but they wouldn't slide into the channel. I may use some black silicone and cover them... not sure yet.

I also found sch 40 clear pvc for the emergency drains. I like how it turned out and its leak free.

And people always ask, why the white pipe on the returns when you went with colored everywhere else? LOL well its actually a light gray from BRS, just the pics make it look white. In the end they are all behind the tank haha but it was fun.

Officially wet. Little cloudy. Added some Brightwell Microbacter7. About 2 more fills to go.

Some plumbing shots. Decided on 2 SS Multiswirls instead of 3. I put the check valves on the return lines but I also drilled the SS outlet elbows. I may have put the check valves too high not sure. Some use them some dont. But the sump is huge and should hold whatever water drains with a pump or power outage.

Any shots of the sea swirls where you drilled them exactly? Did you angle them down?

Mixing station in the garage. Sicce 12.0 between them. Pumps 70 feet into my house no problem.

Im using Brightwell NeoMarine salt. 134.5 g of salt per gallon yields exactly 1.025.

I would have wanted the hole just a little higher, its about 1/4 to 1/2" below the bottom of overflow teeth so some water will drain. Looking back I would have put a spacer under the sea swirl to seat it up a little higher, but now that everything is done and glued I'm going to live with it. If the check valves cause a problem, I'll cut them out, and redo above as well as raise the SS up just a little. If it all works, I'll just live with it.

I always had bad luck with the swing check valves failing or getting stuck.

How's the noise level? Hopefully as quiet as you had hoped. I know the Synergy overflows can be near dead silent
