I am looking to find a lab with a spectrophotometer or possibly even a HPLC with UV detection to analyze a sample of Ruby Reef Rally Pro. I figure its going to be expensive, but I think it would be worth it to find out exactly whats in this medication. Been seeing a lot of good results working with it. I know Acriflavine is the main active ingredient in it and Ruby Reef says that it also includes a very small amount of formalin to act as an activator for the Acriflavine. I want to find out what other ingredients are in it so can get a better idea of exactly how it works. Talking to someone in the EU who could test it. He figure costs would be around $1k USD to get the supplies and pay for the test itself. Thinks it would be a better idea to find a lab here in the US. Does any anyone happen to recommendations of a good lab that could do the test.

Determining what is in a formulation mixture can be very tricky. I would not assume a spectrophotometer will be useful. LC-MS can be useful, but is not trivial if you do not know even what the possibilities are.

Most formulations are an active, and then a bunch of ingredients that do things like stabilizing, thickening, preserving, etc, and are not part of the actual active effect. I would not assume that anything except the active is actually critical for the effect.

Of course there can be important other ingredients in some situations, but I think it might be easier to make a DIY version and see if it works, rather than trying to dissect the mixture.
