So I have a birds nest coral I believe a neon green. I attached a video of its positioning. That powerhead is a hygger mini wave maker at 60% which is 960gph. The polyps aren’t fully opening anymore when they were before I moved it a couple of days ago. I had to move it to adjust flow/lighting of tank and it was knocked off a couple of times now it is there to stay. Could that maybe be too much flow? It’s about 250PAR

Birds nest are so finicky.
Sorry op, looks like it's on its way out. Hard to tell, can you post a white light pic.
Yeah it’s annoying but beautiful. Some days it’s good. I’ll try to get a better pic

Video only ran 3 seconds as you then suddenly zoomed away from coral but I see little flow.
Mine is always open and loves medium pulse flow and right below moderate light heavier in blue - but varies by lighting type
Ranges:
Alk 8-9
CA- 400-425
salinity 1.025

Mine get a random indirect flow and is always fuzzy. Your tank looks under lit from the video.

They definitely don't like direct flow, at least from my experience. Although it could be any number of things. Flow, nutrients, etc
Oh really?? Maybe that’s it …I assumed since they were a high flow coral I have it right by the powerhead about 8 inches from a 960gph output..maybe that’s it

They can tolerate heavy flow, just not directly blasting it. I recently had to move my birds of paradise because it started losing tissue at the bottom.

Not to detract from the subject but that is an awesome coral! I think that’s bigger than my whole tank!

When it’s retracted, top of the coral is more white and the rest is more a golden brown. It’s only around 250 PAR could that possibly be bleaching?

When it’s retracted, the top half is whiter than the bottom which is a golden brown, is that bleaching? It only gets about 250 PAR
