Not my fish, trying to advise someone on a FB group... I've never seen black ich in person so I'm not confident in diagnosing it... What do you think?

Sorry this happened to your fish. Check out this thread https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/black-ich-turbellarians.259912/

Looks like it be a combination of things. How long have you had this fish? Have you added anything new to the tank recently? Is he eating or behaving strangely? How long has it been since you noticed the symptoms?

Could be. I would advise a FWD first to eliminate flukes and give temporary relief if it is velvet.

Copper treats Velvet and Prazi treats black ich. If it is Velvet you want approach that first with copper. Black ich is not nearly as severe. Followed by 2 treatments of Prazi.

More pics would be helpful and if you could pass on the questions through your FB chat. The more info the better.

This thread is also very helpful.
