First time "reefer", if I can even call myself that at this point.

90G build ongoing. Tank started the cycle today with a raw cocktail shrimp. Beginning the process of trying to figure out lighting. I need some input. There seem to be more options/ opinions on lighting than anyone else in this addictive hobby.

I'd like to keep a variety of corals in the tank and I really like the idea of being able to control the lighting and day cycle. The lady we got the tank from was able to do this from an app on her iPad. Pretty sweet.

What would be a good intermediate LED setup? Are there decent hybrid units to incorporate T5 that don't run 4 figures? I'm not trying to take out a second mortgage on the house or anything, but not opposed to spending a little money to get the proper setup.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

You can go with reefbreeders led and sunblaster t5 fixtures. Or you can go ai hydras easily controllable as well as radions, though expensive..

A single AP700 with a couple of T5 retro fit kits would make a fantastic hybrid light system!
