Hey everyone so I am brand new to this site and brand new to saltwater tanks I’m still a little down the road to being able to start my tank but any help and advice that is offered I will read. I was also wondering if there is anyone from around Northern Michigan for any sort of trading or anything once I get things going? Thanks to everyone in advance.

Welcome to R2R! Quick advice, start with fish and live rock only and keep it that way for months. Good luck!
Yup that was for sure my plan to start off, I want to try to keep it Hawaii and Australian themed fish and invert species

Nice I will keep that in mind for any local fish store advice or whatnot
Sadly online is the safest and best way to get coral and fish up here. Preuss pets in Lansing is a solid option. There is a store in TC as well, Aqualations. Depending on how deep you dive into this hobby will determine the standard you shop

Don’t get me wrong. Aqualations is good and can get you going and anything you need. For me, over the years I’ve learned slowly and recently have really ramped up the knowledge with my new tank. I just have a new standard for my system

Yeah how do you like the trigger systems sump? Is it worth it? That’s what I’ve been thinking about using when I start my tank but I need to drill my tank and install and overflow
