Its a 20min drive.
Talked to the local LFS and they can provide some heaters, airstones and some styrofoam boxes.

Good idea for the temporary holding tank!

Still have some time to prepare as we will move in March.

If you're planning on accomplishing it all in one day (whatever amount of time you budget for it, double or triple it), then a few buckets should be more than plenty as long as you're keeping temps and oxygen flowing. I did my whole tank move in under 24-hrs and only lost a single snail in the process (not due to parameters, but due to my eyes not seeing it in the bottom of the bucket)

Thanks for all the advice!

I will for sure document the entire process on this thread

Final design for the new lighting setup with 2XR15 Gen 4 Pro's.

The lights themselves have arrived, they are in good condition but show some damage on the UV led lenses.

I am already in contact with ecotech support to get some new lenses for the lights.

Ok we are 3 months later now and I have officially moved house.

Now the only thing left in the old apartment is my reef tank which I will move this weekend.

Bought a 121L tub and stocked up on salt. The tub is filling with RODI right now in preparation for the move tomorrow.

Will wait a week or 2 to install the new lights (2 XR15 Gen4 Pro's) to keep everything as stable as possible post move.

Tank itself has been neglected a bit over the last weeks due to me being busy moving house but its has gone through some great growth over the last weeks

I also received some new lenses from EcoTech Marine for the XR15 Gen4 Pro's as the UV Led lenses were burned

Already installed the new lenses on the lights

It's not always a smooth ride, this morning I woke up and my black torch was missing a head 😱.
IMG_4267.jpeg

Looked like BJD, there is still some flesh in there.

Not taking that change so took out the dremel and cut it off followed with a Iodine dip

Its chilling on the frag rack now and other 2 heads look fine

IMG_4269.jpeg

Tested the tank and salinty was a little low, everything else was stable.
Will send in an ICP after I corrected the salinity to get to the bottom of this.

Some good news as well (except for my wallet) I ordered some acro's as the tester SPS corals are all growing great!

Update time:
IMG_4477.jpeg

Sadly lost my TOD torch

Lots of coral growth with the new lighting setup.

Slowly increasing them to reach SPS level PAR. Right now my strategy is a 5% increase/month

Will sell some of of my old corals as i transition this one to an SPS dominated reef.

Got bitten by the SPS bug 😅

July update time!

Not a lot happened to the tank over the last month since I got a new reefing buddy!
IMG_4765.jpeg

She's 11 weeks old now and loves to watch the tank!
IMG_4759.jpeg

Now onto the actual tank update,
Light intensity increase showing it's result with good growth on the SPS corals.

Nutrients are a bit out of balance (PO4 0.06/ NO3 0-2), going to see if additional pellets feedings ups the nitrates and improves coloration.

If that does not get me some results I will probably up the lighting some more.
