Added a Starry blenny today to deal with some algea that is popping up everywhere in the tank.

Bought him last week but released him this morning into the tank. He is already perching on top of the monti's

Santa came a little late this year but its time to add a controller to the tank

Got an Apex a3

Considered GHL as an alternative but went with Apex cause

It better integrated with my current setup.
Adding some custom DIY stuff seemed easier and better documented.
Apex's config language is within closer to my software development comfort zone.

So now its time to

February Update

Tanks looking good, constantly trimming the “beginner” SPS.
Have a lot of local reefers getting into SPS this way 😁

Changing over my dosing to Nyos IonB as i was dosing 105ml of each balling component a day and wanted a solution to boost my pH a bit and also it’s more concentrated which I like

Always make sure you have a battery backup ready, you never know when disaster will strike!

Today the electric cable to my house caught fire and just metled entirely took cable company over 6 hours to fix.

Luckily I had a Ecoflow delta 2 as a backup and it powered the flow, heating ,ato and apex through the outage with 50% to spare

Have been neglecting the reef a bit over the past months. Just did its first water change in 2 months. Tank is thriving apart from some minor GHA outbreaks which is probably related to the infrequent water changes.

Got 2 pitho crabs and some extra hermits last week to help with cleaning up!
