Cade Chaos Grimoire

I haven't had a massage since Sept when my place closed.

My pinky and ring finger on my right hand have been numb *all day* today.

I decided maybe getting neuromuscular deep tissue massage regularly again would physically fix me.

(Hey, nothing else has worked yet)

Shot my massage therapist of 10 years a message to see if she found a new spa and she retired :loudly-crying-face:. (good for her, but still sad)

That sucks.

It's alright. Part of the reason I was holding out so long is the fact that we are moving an hour away in the next few months. I didn't want to accidentally find another person I loved to have to drive so far for my massages or have to find a different person again.

But it occurred to me that maybe it would help. I doubt it, probably a long shot. But maybe lol

My stupid appointment to figure out why all of my nerves are garbage isn't until June, so at least it would give me something to do until then.

Exactly shop around you have a reason not to commit bc your moving. Just go and feel better.

It took me so long to find her. Most of the people I was seeing just didn't grasp that when I went in for deep tissue it was because I literally cannot feel them touching me with a relaxation massage and it does absolutely nothing for me. Deep tissue is necessary to actually get any value from it. They wouldn't apply enough pressure. Person after person. She actually listened

Coffee fixes everything

Also f my phone.

Typed everything, it changed it to evening as I posted it.

Went in to edit it, verify it says everything. As I go to save, changed to everyone.

Took 3 edits to fix the stupid thing

My first experience with a massage was after a car accident, and it was labeled "medical deep tissue massage" and partnered with a sports chiropractor. The chiropractor would align first then to the massage where she started with a warning "this will hurt and not be like 'other massages ', I'm trying to break down the grumpy muscle tissue and allow for proper healing" she used tools and left marks. I LOVED IT. She literally could not push hard enough, it was great. I miss her. It's 3+hours away from me but dang it'd be worth it.

Mine was the opposite. My chiropractor refused to even try adjusting my back until AFTER I had an hour of deep tissue.

I'm sure there's a reason why either it's before or after, but the combo works. My Dr dude worked on professional athletes and had his picture all over with all the athletic peeps he's traveled with over the years.

Only chiropractor I've ever been to, so my only experience but I really liked it.

I have 1 chiro I go to periodically and is the only one I'll go to. He does not manually adjust, he sends some weird thing down my back that jostles the bones back where they belong instead. Only time I've not felt destroyed afterwards. Every other chiropractor makes me feel like garbage physically.

"listen, I worked hard to get the knots in my back. You have to work hard to get them out." I've had better success with dry needling than massage for that reason.
