We're not going to be able to have people over because it stresses the dusky too much - he's still hiding from last weekend

"I can't, my fish needs me". Might make a towel/shirt for this. Actual gold.

Cleaned some glass. Glued some corals. Set up another doser head (for alkalinity).

Haven't seen the dusky yet... did he die under the sand??

Too much sand in this tank to try to drag through

Random check in. Any news on the Dusky? How are your ponies. Sounds like most everything is going good.

Ponies good. Everyone in the peninsula good except the mia dusky. No idea what's going on there. Trying to remember how long he was hiding when he went into this tank initially.

Speaking of, my black leopard is growing quickly, my Timor and checkerboard are growing quickly, my regular ornate leopard is still so smol.

I guess I should test the alk in the peninsula and make sure the doser is working as advertised :face-with-tears-of-joy:

testing is on my list of things to do tonight. i increased my dosing of alk and need to also test to make sure its as advertised.

I think the answer to my previous question is yes, I think the dusky did die under the sand. I was scrutinizing the sand from above to see if I could find any signs of him again...

Cleaned the vertebrae and put them in a tiny jar in my aquatic life portion of the oddity cabinet. If I find more I'll add them.

Today is dedicated to setting up some automatic waterers for the gardens because FL just started preheating and even the zoned plants are struggling.

How's the seal pup?
He's good. Kinda rude today. Woke me up when him & husband came to bed, woke me up at 3am to go out, woke me up at 615 because that's when I'm usually up and he felt days off don't count. Love him anyway

Solar waterer set up. Still need to do the one we're hooking up to a timer and the well. My fingers hurt.

Thinking I might start dumping and planting - I have quite a few things I need to plant still before it gets too late.

Got to watch a cicada killer pollinating my lemon tree. That was pretty cool. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone with me at the time :crying-face:

Lots of downy and red-bellied woodpeckers keeping me company outside this afternoon. They've fallen in love with the suet feeder. We also have 2 pairs of Cardinals but they're a little more shy when the tractor is running and Matt's been doing random work with it today.

Yesterday was busy. Got the waterers set up. Planted a lot of things. Went to the brewery for kielbasa food truck and beers. Got some sun burn on my shoulders (mostly transitioned to tan already) and my right ear (very ouch).

Currently have a planter full of flowers.

A very large barrel pot full of native milkweed and assorted native wildflowers (this pot is specifically for the pollinators).

Planted alpine strawberries, ground cherries, okra, bell peppers, dwarf watermelon, summer savory, tarragon, sage, valerian, hyssop, garlic chives.

Repotted my meyer lemon and one of my blueberries.

Weeded everyone else (a bunch of blueberries, blackberries, dwarf mulberries, a fig, loquat, ice cream banana, Rosemary, Dill, thyme, goji Berry)

Realized in all this I have no basil growing so I need to remedy that as well.

Did no tank maintenance yesterday other than cleaning the sock in the toadfish tank and feeding everyone.

Oh, ordered 3 corals....?
