Cade Chaos Grimoire

Then why are you using media to remove it????

I don't do water changes, better to buffer it knowing it's likely to elevate than to do nothing whatsoever

But you have a ats and Marco algea, right? The icp, doesn't test po4/ no3?
I haven't tested the pond for anything at all yet, and only did 2 water changes in its 9 months of existence- so I get it. But numbers might be useful to determine if/how to remove or replace the cubes.

In the seahorse tank yes, I have those things functional. In this tank the ats still hasn't taken off.

And yes i think it does but I've heard from everyone under the sun that it's not very reliable for either of those metrics so I honestly pay minimal attention - it's not like I'm going to do something extreme as a result for that. I have a heavy bioload based on the fish in the tank to begin with. I'm not chasing those numbers. But if I can mitigate it passively, I will

Adding polyfilter should help remove Al without disrupting or changing anything...
That's a good idea. I just fed everyone and snowed the tank - going to start digging into the sump in a little bit. There's a clamp on my return hose that was supposed to be stainless steel, and thinking back to the old 1200 I believe I had a corrosion problem there as well. I'm checking that first, I have a set of plastic ones that I should have used to set it up to begin with but I was lazy.

Okay, clamp was actually fine - covered in sponge growth so a hassle to check though. No rust or decay so actually what it should be.

Pulling the xport stuff - I rinsed it really well yesterday in the meantime. Cleaned all my Sera wool. Ordered some chemipure elite for my mitigation instead. Also ordered some poly filter pads to pull any remaining aluminum (hopefully). That stuff comes today or tomorrow. I'll make the switch once it arrives

Terminated my problematic employee this morning.

Went to physical therapy appt.

Went to dexa scan appt.

Overheard a tech tell another tech I'm too young for that kind of scan :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Physical therapy sucks. FYI. That's all.

I need a nap.

Is the p.t helping?
Today was first day. So far I can't open my jaw all the way and my coat hanger pain is worse than my usual day-to-day.

I know it's "always worse before it gets better" but I'm pretty miserable right now.

Not even addressing anything but my neck/jaw so far because they're the most disruptive to my general daily.

Hopefully I can say yes to that soon though.

Woke up with both hands completely numb and sighing causes a sharp pain in my upper back.

Going well.

I hope you feel better soon
Thanks, got feeling back in my hands around 230 yesterday afternoon. Still did my PT exercises both times and this morning and no numbness today, so I'll consider that improvement.

I got my dexa results back, I love that I finally found a primary who was able to figure out my actual problem after YEARS of pain. Every weird test she's sending me for that seems unrelated, has come back abnormal or problematic. So yeah, not even 40 years old yet, already in osteopenia because my body doesn't understand how to collagen or connective tissue properly. :face-with-spiral-eyes: Also awaiting a sleep study because they think I might have central sleep apnea because my echo indicated elevated lung pressure, and uhhhh the walls of my heart are too thin, and I have 3 valve leaks.

Anyway, tanks are looking pretty alright. Got some 3d printing projects to sort out. I switched the prime to the toad tank, and the bracket for it sticks out way more than the glass that came with allows for, so I need to print a new this thing:

I want to evaluate adding a roller back there if I can find one that fits. I need to inspect dimensions for the IM one and the Redsea nano one and see if either matches the size where the sock drop is. Also considering a protein skimmer for back there as well, both of which would cut down the size/shape of what I need to print to protect the rest from evap.

The pest algae problem seems to finally be resolving itself here, courtesy of sea lettuce infestation. I'll take it.

I've been randomly tossing all my "freebie" zoas or palys in here. As well as adding any on that are super cheap with any orders I place. Still definitely want to add more terrible things in here though.

Ponies are good, might do a water change on them today, might not....

Got a really cool towel :)

That's crooked.....

Anyway, peninsula still looks like I don't have a single coral in it, somehow....

And the jungle is doing well, in fact, that big leaf is bigger than my head...

Need a flexible filament recommendation so I can print myself some ring splints as well, anyone use a good one they can recommend? @tbrown @Projects with Sam @Mhamilton0911 etc?

Going to get that package out soon just need to pack them up weigh it and print the label.
Don't forget to let me know how much I owe you

Looking at an order from seahorsesavvy because I wanted to add a couple more salty mollies to the pony tank. Going to pick up some cowrie and maybe mexican turbos as well - maybe more peppermint shrimp? The berghia I added have not been spotted since day one, and no aiptasia have disappeared .

Considering some gorgs or leathers to put in the peninsula (pony tank is pretty much capped other than space i'm saving for gsp and xenia to spread).
