Is there a tool online that can calculate when you do water change and what percent of salt to add to match what you took out?

This is literally the only thing I don't care for about saltwater is the salt calculations and water changes and what I took out and what to add back etc.

You don't need a calculator for that. You add the same concentration back in as you took out. You mix your change water to match the tank water.

I don't follow your question. If you take 5 gallons out, you put 5 gallons back in of ready to go premixed saltwater that matches your tanks salinity. You don't take 5 gallons of water out put 5 gallons of freshwater in your tank then add the salt to the tank.

Generally, it is about a 1/2 cup of salt per gallon of freshwater.

So if I take out 5 gallons and put 5 gallons of salt water back into the tank with lets say a salinity of 1.025 and the tank is reading 1.025, won't adding the same measurement of salt raise the salt in the tank???

No. Unless you have a desalination plant removing your water.

You are taking out 5 gallons of saltwater (1.025) and putting 5 gallons of saltwater (1.025) back in.

You should always mix up your replacement saltwater in a separate container adjusting the salinity to match your Tank and if replacing a large amount preheat it to match also. I use a Hanna Salinity meter as it's very quick and you can measure Temp also.

Well, evaporation is a natural process that desalinates the water leaving the tank.

@tidequeen09 you only add saltwater to the tank when you remove water from the tank. If you are topping off water that has evaporated you only add fresh water to the tank, as salt does not evaporate.
