Hello, I’m quite desperate.

I’m relatively new to the hobby and since a month or two my poor turbinaria coral is going in decline. Every day I wake up and it’s missing more and more polyps, leaving behind naked coral and a hole. What is wrong with it?

I tested all parameters and they’re fine, no one I’ve asked knows what’s wrong with it. I posted here once already and received 0 responses...

I will attach some pictures of my coral, I will do ANYTHING to save it.

Test for everything that you have a test for.

Are you dosing anything?
Any changes done to the tank recently?

How old is the tank?

Not dosing anything
What's your routine with the tank?
How often do you do water changes and how large?
Do you have a phosphate test?

Can you take more pictures of your tank?
Are you using the same lights and same light routine?

I’ll have to do phosphates tomorrow morning, as I have to rebuy the test kit. Same lights and same light routine as the previous owner. 10% water change weekly

Just in general of your tank, corals, rockwork and substrate, we may spot something out of place

If I see correctly there's a bit of brown algae on your rocks. Has it always been there?
It could be dinos, which usually show up when there's an imbalance of water parameters
I suspect you may be running the tank extremely low on nutrients and the coral is starving

Also, is there any chance something is picking on it?
how many fish you have and what they are?

I’m not sure if those are dinos, I’ve been considering it a possibility. That algae definitely hasn’t always been there and it could very well be what’s causing the damage. Nothing is picking on it; my fish are a yellow tang, fox face, 2 clowns 2 damsels and a yellow wrasse, I’ve watched them for hours and hours and they never pick at it.

There has to be SOMTHING I can do for this poor coral, it pains me so much to see it wither away day by day.

Tank was brought over 4 months ago. What type of water was he using and water are you using?
What test kits are you using?

For this coral, they do best with moderate light (50-150 PAR) and good water flow across the coral and your lights seem a bit bright which may be affecting it. ideal location is mid tank. They do have polyps, that when irritated can produce a hefty mucus net. If this mucus comes in contact with other corals, it can damage them.
These are parameter values you should be at below:

Temp 77-79
salinity 1.025
ph 8.1-8.3
Nitrate < .04
phos < .04
Ammonia < .03
mag 1300
CA 440
Alk 8-9

Calibrate your salinity gage if you are able to as a false reading with high salinity will cause similar issue.
