I was just wondering what kind of carbon and how much of the carbon do you guys and gal uses? Also how often do you replace it with new carbon?

I've been replacing my carbon and gfo every 2-3 weeks. I use either the Sera carbon or the carbon from Bulk Reef Supply. As far as an amount, I fill my Deltec FR509 to the top with carbon.

When I was using it I used ROX 0.8. Its is the best Ive used and when I do another order I get some more thats the reason Im not using it now I run out. I change it every 3-4 weeks and you dont have to use alot of this stuff like you do with other brands IMO

Hands down the cleanest to handle, best performing is the ROWA carbon. I used to get it from F&S but it is expensive. I recently changed up to the Lignite from BRS. Clarity of the water is comprable to the ROWA, but is a PITA to handle and is really really dusty. But I guess thats the trade off to save a couple coins.

i just bought some Rox carbon from BRS , figured I would give it a try over ESV Carbon . This stuff is so small and fine . How is everyone rinsing it ? In a brine shrimp net ? I can't believe how small this stuff is .
