Yah, my foxface was not the smartest fish in the tank. It also got some gobies that perch, and I thinkthe others may have just gotten too close. You have to have fish that know to stay away. In a small tank as that looks to be, this will be difficult.

Eagle_Steve, you are lucky yours do not eat things. Maybe your fish are smarter than mine. They are beauts!!!!
He's been in there for a couple days and the fish have stayed away. Yesterday some shrimp was talking right on him and a damsel thought about it but hesitantly didn't go for it.

I think maybe he was just waking up cause a couple hours of my light being on and he looks better.

It could need a cipro treatment if the stress becomes to much. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/carpet-anemone.693363/
I treated all my carpets this way. Haddonis want to be in soft sand that is a minimum of 4 inches or so. Get that as it will help it settle.

Could mine be stressed? He spits out silverfish, may be to big for him. So we recently tried target feeding but so far nothing. He has been expanding and shrinking but currently, the mouth looks like the photo.

Mine hasn't eaten either, I figure he will eat when he wants every couple days I offer him some fish. He opens and closes as he likes and as long as he opens every day I don't fear anything. His mouth doesn't always look great but generally it goes back to normal, if he looks bad and stays looking bad I might worry but I've only had mine a couple weeks. I changed the flow and lighting to see what perks him up the most.

If feeding, i recommend using some thing with no bones. Bones can be hard to digest especially if stressed. They really need to eat much less than you think and feeding seems to push weak ones over the edge.
