I’ve never heard of that ever. Do you have pics? I have a few different shrooms stacked on each other.
I wish I took a pic. It was a long time ago in a different tank. Was really strange. I had a lobo that would go nuts at night. Also a platygyra that was a beast and killed my pink goni.

So ricordea have filaments?

I have a disco covering half of a ricordea lol, a little nervous now.
Definitely have filaments. Pretty long too. I was surprised because mushrooms tend to be the most peaceful of all corals aside from zoas and xenia.

I’ve heard a ton of people, and have seen this often myself, where lobos go out of their way to create space. They are pretty aggressive.

Well I can’t seem to keep mushrooms stuck to anything, so I throw them all in this one spot. Will let Darwin handle the situation.

Update: I have gradually increased frequency of the Red Sea A+B dosing. It’s hard to be scientific, but I feel like my corals are as colorful and happy as they have ever been. Specifically my Blue Eyed Blonde zoas, they have been historically rather moody and don’t always look their best.

but the orange just seems more vibrant lately.

@Jose Esteves I think it likes me!
It sure does. I'm stoked that it's doing well in your tank man. If the SPS bug hits you, you might want to start looking for a bigger tank. :D

Great looking tank! The scoly you have looks great. Any tips on keeping them. It's definitely on my coral list.

What is your feeding schedule like? Sounds like you feed a lot, but don't get algae issues. I over feed a little bit and algae everywhere!
Thanks!! I feed the scoly Coral Frenzy 1mm reef pellets about every other night, and when I feed frozen mysis I try to make sure it gets some of that as well (I turn the flow off), but that’s only a couple times a week as I usually just feed flake and pellets.

My feeding schedule is currently Phyto Feast Live, then Red Sea A+B, then Oyster Feast (spaced out throughout the day). I do that every day, in addition to dosing Reef Fusion 2 part at night.

However, I leave in a bag of Phosguard 24/7, and that combined with my other filtration (Purigen, bio media, filter sponge, and carbon) plus regular maintenance keeps my nutrients really low. I was at .02 phosphates and 4 nitrates last time I checked.

Current scoly: (that’s coralline on the rock, not cyano btw)

edit: I would highly recommend a tuxedo urchin. He is a tireless algae consumer and keeps my tank pretty bare with the help of my snails.

Ok so not that different from my feeding of either frozen or flakes at night and reef roids once a week.

Maybe I need the phosguard to keep the phosphates in check.

The scoly looks awesome I will definitely have to pick one up.

I had a tuxedo urchin in my 75gallon. It was great for algae removal. Haven't been able to find one locally in my area since I moved though.

I love the scoly, it’s feeding response is wild!
This is what it looks like at night:
