Hey everyone, I got this awesome chalice from TroyLee a few days back and was wondering if anyone knew what it was:

I stuck it in the shade but some of it seems to still be bleaching out:

I just got my Apex + VDM hooked up to my AI Sol Blue so I'm still trying to figure out at what intensity to run my lights (no par meter ), so it may be too bright/dim - but all of my other SPS seem to be doing ok. Now I understand chalices are tricky so maybe someone could explain exactly what I'm trying to accomplish? How does one create the proper environment for them to thrive?

And does anyone have any tips for capturing the beauty of these things under actinics? Whatever I do the shots just dont reflect how awesome it really looks. Thanks in advance!

have no idea what it's called but keep that bad boy under the shade so it can hopefully heal. it's definitely bleached out. Leds can cook them pretty bad. good luck!

Anyone able to ID it? It's a reddish color and those highlights really don't come out until it's under the actinics.

really they're LPS?! I see no large polyps! =) I had it in the shade but I think part of it was exposed to direct light. It currently resides in a fully shaded area so hopefully it fully recovers. I just don't get how I'm supposed to enjoy their coloration if I can't see them
