I’m looking to add one more frag of a tenuis or millepora to my collection. I’m a whiter light type of guy and I’m using Red Sea lights at 17500K, so not ultra blue but not like full spectrum daylight. Collection thus far is:

  • Walt Disney
  • ASD rainbow
  • RRC rainbow splice
  • BC lasermelon
  • BC reading rainbow
  • SBB Heisenberg
  • TGC redwing
  • PC rainbow
  • Oregon tort
  • Green slimer
  • RMF candyland
  • Vivid confetti
  • Hugo’s rainbow
  • Tyree ultimate stag
The Walt, ASD, Rainbow Splice, Redwing, Heisenberg look great under my spectrum. The BC tenuis are meh if not washed out but they are still tiny frags.

Looking for some suggestions on a tenuis or Mille given space constraints. Was thinking cherry bomb. I had an SCOP but it looked too similar to the WD.

Any suggestions from the community who run whiter lights. Absolutely cannot do stags or plating acros. Thanks!

SC Orange Passion is a great choice for both white and blue light tanks, as well as any spectrum in between!

Cherry bomb shines mostly under blues. Like most tenuis if you're a full spectrum guy they are not your best choice.
I have to disagree. It looks great under a higher white light tank....I mean, depending on what you are referring to as full spectrum. I run T5 hybrids with ReeFi's....the bulb combo being 2x Blue Plus and 2x Coral Plus which I consider more on the whiter side/full spectrum. The blues from the LEDs I suppose are what makes the deep red polyps pop the most. Here's my small colony (upper left) with T5's going at 100%...no orange filter or photo editing....just white balance set to cut the blue that phone cameras love picking up. Cherry Bomb is my favorite tenuis and that's saying a lot considering it's not a rainbow-type.

i love CB as much as the next guy, but the other poster is correct. It's not a full spec/white light stunner, CB looks best under a heavy blue spectrum, and obviously many of us have it.

Milli- CC Bahama Mama

Tenuis-
SC Orange Passion
JFox Homewrecker
For a mille, something like Big E suggested is super nice and colorful - CC bahama mama (bubblegum mille types) are very nice under full spectrum lighting.

Give over! USA has far wider choice & availability of Acropora than UK. (BTW, Leonardo’s Reef is in the Netherlands, and since Vrexit we can not bring in corals from Europe) 😖

You're not kidding. I have more than a few top tier LFS's in my area, at least 3 nationally known. A dude that has a garage farm for the last like 20 years, and a turn and burn place that basically sells everything at cost if you're local and patient. Just seems normal now.
