Clam Assistance Needed

I purchased a clam from my LFS about 4 days ago. In the store is was bright blue and responded well to movement.

It has been in my tank for 4 days now. It is responding well to movement but has started getting blotchy brown spots.

All of my water parameters are within range for the clam. Tested at LFS and home. And I rechecked them again today.

It is on the sand bed about 24 inches from the light.

Too much light? Not enough light? Other issues?

What kind of lights do you have and what intensity? What does your LFS use?

Salinity - 1.025
Temperature: ~79
pH: ~8.2
Alkalinity: ~9 dKH
Ammonia (NH3): 0
Nitrite (NO2): 0
Nitrate (NO3): 0
Phosphate (PO4): .01ppm

Lights:
LEDs - 120w
Ch1: UV - 50% intensity @ 10 hours
Ch2: White - 60% intensity @ 8 hours

Upgraded to the LEDs from T5 at the same time as the clam. So not 100% sure on where they should be.

Good question. I know they are LEDs, but not sure of the specs on them. He is closed today but I can call him tomorrow. Anything I can do in the meantime?

I personally would turn down the intensity and slowly bring them up day by day, say 5% a day. Thats just what id do. Im no clam expert.

Agreed, what chem you posted looks fine. Clam for the most part looks good.

From what I've read. The clam itself is healthy. It's the algae inside the clam that is causing the discoloration.

What should I start the lights at? 10%? And when should I stop?

Yeah 10 is good. Id stop at whatever you plan on KEEPING them at.

Well I plan on keeping softies as well. So I'd like to find a good lighting that will fit both.
