Cleaner Wrasse?

+1 on the neon cleaner goby.

They also eat plenty of frozen foods. Have 2 in a 75 gallon tank with way too many fish.

+1 on *NO* cleaner wrasse!

As already mentioned, a large part of the cleaner wrasse diet is fish slime coat.
They will harass other fish to the point of being detrimental to the other fish!

Scale of cleaner to "cleanee" is also important.
The cleaner fish should be considerably smaller than the fish they are grooming.

Guessing the cleaner shrimp will either make a beautiful addition to your tank that can also eat prepared foods or it may (or may not) make a tasty snack.
Either way there should be no downside to the neon cleaner goby or the skunk cleaner shrimp.

Consider the cleaner wrasse as a deliberate way to damage your sharks. :-/

Yeah definitely not going to get a cleaner wrasse after learning more about them. Probably going to get a goby.

Cleaner wrasse are pretty awesome. I think they fare better if they are QT’ed.

Don't let history get you down. Modern foods, pellets and flakes, are eaten by mine during every feeding. Had one 5 years before I took down the tank. The current one is a year with me and growing slowly as it should. Dki mellow pellets and Ocean Nutrition brine shrimp flakes are its favorites. It also eats live or frozen artemia, mysis, and cyclops. The pellets and flakes have the most nutritional value.

That's what I believe too.
Modern foods has really improved a lot.
I have a pair black spot cleaner wrasse.
They eats flake foods.
Hope they can be kept long term.

I have had a cleaner wrasse for the last 6mo. It has been great, cleaning the other fish and eating all food provided. I do have a lot of fish in my 300 gallon reef.

Leave them on the reef. IMO, the majority of them don’t survive( there are a few exceptions to the rule), but even with today’s advancements in nutrition, most will waste away.
