I have a new tank set up with water only (waiting for shipment of live rock). It's been circulating for 3 weeks now. Turned on lights for first time today and noticed that the water was rather cloudy looking. Is this expected? Want to make sure it's okay before I do end up adding sand and rock

Was it clear at some point? If it was clear and now it's cloudy, it's a bacterial bloom and the bacteria Is consuming whatever nutrients are in the salt mix and will eventually pass. There is no need to do anything.

Bacteria bloom. It’s very common and just let it ride out and not disturb

Thanks. It was clear for a few days, but has been cloudy for the last couple of weeks.

On possibly a related note, my Alkalinity seems lower than it should be. Apex is reporting 6.34
