I got an already established pair from someone who was getting rid of tank. Yesterday they were great but this morning I noticed bite marks on the smaller ones fins. Will separating them with a divider allow them to work whatever problems that have out?

I've always let them figure it out themselves. Never had one die due to this. They can possibly be stressed. Id keep an eye on them and see if they start to calm down being they were mated already, they should.

Possibly, its worth a try. It worked for me with a pair of damsels. I left the divider up for 2 months, and when I removed it, they stayed completely on their sides of the tank, as if the divider was still there, funny.
