In a world first, a new "state-of-the-art" climate change experimental facility to simulate the affect on coral reefs of ocean temperatures and pH levels predicted in the next 50 to 100 years, has been completed.

I have a friend who's been doing this for quite some time and it does look very similar to what the linked article had described.
