So I recently installed a Clarisea sk-3000 gen 3 in my sump and have not been able to figure out how to get the proper flow through it. I'm running a 1" drain at full siphon, with a Vectra s2 return pump running at 70% (~980gph). The water level will reach right to the bottom of the float valve but will never get high enough to raise it unless I open the drain a tad more. The fleece is definitely doing it's job because it gets really dirty but never spools on it's own. When I open the drain anymore than it currently is my return pump can't keep up even at 100% which doesn't make sense to me. What am I missing here? I can't imagine the few elbows I'm running on my return line are restricting my flow that much.

EDIT: I'm a dummy and didn't realize the bypass screw was open this entire time. lol

Im having the same issue. What does the bypass screw look like on Gen 3 and what is the closed position? Thank you

So if you are looking at the side opposite of the one it hangs off of, it will be the screw under the the big piece for the water inlet. It just needs to be screwed all the way in until it can't go anymore.

Thank you. Got it and it works perfectly now. Easy fixes are rare in this hobby. LOL
