I had a pump fail and released copper looks like. All my snails perished and some of my corals. I was able to save a couple of corals and all my fish except one survived.

I did 100% water changed; replaced all the sand; cleaned rock. Put new sand in and rock filled it with new freshwater running Cuprisorb and polyfilter.

I still having carbon present it seems. I tried a couple of snails and all died my corals look fine though.

I am not sure what to do next. Equipment? Plumbing needs to be cleaned? Maybe get all new rock? I am guessing that is where copper is coming from now.

Should i run Cuprisorb in a reactor?

Curious. Not sure why the white except maybe the issue is not copper.

Have you tried checking ammonia?

An icp test might be in order.

I went to lfs and tested said have ammonia and a bit of copper in tank. Ammonia 1pm he said. Maybe started a new cycle? I’m guessing do a water change of at least 20 percent, or no?
