Took over someone's tank a few months ago and spotted this guy recently. Seems to be growing with minimal light. Kids looks like a big Duncan head?

Most likely a rock flower anemone.

Unless theres a hard stoney body structure beneath it

Do that shrink down quite small? When braking down the track for the move and then setting back up I didn't even notice it

They can, even completely disappear into rockwork temporarily
