That may be your problem that high no3. I know for my tank if po4 goes that hi I start to see problems my sticks will start to look a little different

Yup but the sudden death bleaching and peeling seems a bit extreme for just nitrates. Don't know maybe some pollutant got into the water.

And nitrates don't match phosphates I have in between 16-30 nitrates now and phosphates .08 don't know what the heck is going on. Doing a 300 gallon water change in between Sunday and Monday and let's see what happens.

I know every tank is different but in my tank hi po4 or no3 and I may lose a stick I see some people that say that there no3 & po4 when hi is not a problem but that not the same for my setup I guess it's because I always try to keep them low right now I'm at .03 po4 and my last no3 was down to .10

thanks hope some day I can reach low nutrient tank but 700 gallons full of large tangs , could be hard to achieve, I'm talking a couple of Tangs over a foot long.
