Now I have to ask, what made you tear it down?

I apologize everyone, I didn't know there were comments in here ti'll I was tagged 😅
What crabs did you keep in this tank?
It was a mixed reef. Had acros, monti's, stags, mushrooms, euphyllia, zoas, toadstool. All kinds of cool stuff

That is a loooooong story....
Summary: Had multiple coral die offs, and I mean everything died off. Sent in multiple ICP tests, testing at home, par meter, multiple Ro/Di filter and media changes trying to figure out why. Never found the source. At the time finances were much much tighter and I didn't want to keep throwing money at it. Roof over our head was more important. So made the tough decision to shut it down.
Hoping to get back in someday as finances are no longer an issue :)
Thanks for the tag or I would have never seen these

Wow, hate you lost everything in your tank due to a mysterious issue, but I feel your pain of shutting a tank down! Hopefully, we will be moved soon, so that I can start our tank again!

I'd send some frags your way if we were close! I wish I had a reefing buddy nearby so I could bank some frags in case something happened to my system.

Yeah unfortunately there is nobody around me into reefing other than my uncle, and I don't see him much

I said Wisconsin not Texas
Loooook, there are cowboys in Wisconsin. How do you think they hurdle all of that cattle to give us the cheese in America

Random coral deaths are never a good thing, especially if you can't find out why. Hopefully you will be able to set another tank up sometime.

I like how you included soft corals as well as the usual SPS and LPS that typically dominate a mixed reef.
What kinds of crabs did you keep in the tank?

@Crabs McJones

I did have an emerald crab for a while. After I got rid of him I primarily did shrimp. I had a blood red fire shrimp and a banded coral shrimp. A mix of snails including stomatella.
