was going to start off with some trochus snails (if I can find them in stock.), Nass snails, a few Ceriths and maybe a handful of blue legs. I don't care for hermits much but figure I would start out with a handful and see how it goes.

Any suggestions of a good online vendor. I have a couple places in mind but have read mixed reviews. I would prefer to support a supporting vendor on here.

Ive always had good luck buying this stuff locally... I am sure you have lots of good options in NC. If not, reefcleaners was good to me.

I've used reef cleaners in the past and the pack I got was great.

I'm setting up a tank for my kids and I know they'll want to go locally and pick out their hermits and snails, we go to Triad Reef Critters in Greensboro or The Fish Room in Cary/Raleigh, Fish Room also has a shop in Wilmington if that's close to you. Online is def cheaper though.
