These lights are great in my opinion and will support any coral soft, LPS, and SPS. I think the pro version with dual LED’s makes the difference. The PAR claims made on their website are impressive for such a sleek light. On a side note I would love to see these tested. I have no light bleed whatsoever and they are very close to my water. It looks like they are built into the tank, you almost cant even tell they are there. All the coral in the system is very colorful and happy, even the LPS on the sand bed 21” deep! I have the controller and it makes the lighting transitions so smooth. Along with the wave pumps hooked up to the same controller and they are all accessed by a small remote. I got a very good deal on these lights and am more than pleased. A lot of people will tell you that these lights are trash but they couldnt be more wrong. The lower end Orbit lights may be weak and i cant speak on those but this Orbit IC Pro is amazing. The only thing i found that i dont like is the coverage they provide. It is a bit tough to find a sweet spot so i have all my coral closer to the front half of the tank. I also had issues with the mounting brackets not being what i expected so i used the arms to rest on the side of the tank and i like it much better.

How wide is your tank? I have the same lights. How do you have the on off time set?

I have mine set to start at 12:00 and the off sequence starts at 21:00. I'm worried it's too much full power daylight.

My tank is 48”

My on time is 9:00 and my off is 21:00. It may seem like a long time but the ramp up/down on these lights takes 1hr 30min (im pretty sure) and in reality my tank gets full power for 9 hours and weaker lighting for 3 hours. ive had great results.

Sarah will probably be along shortly with her story and photos.

I tested the Pros and found their PAR rating claims to be pretty high, almost twice as high, using an Apogee 510. I am not saying that this is not enough, just that the numbers were lower in a tank than they said on their website. You doubled up on units, which can help a lot too.

Ive had great success keeping SPS under these lights. At first i was very skeptical of these lights but for the price they perform well.
