Why do you not trust the stand that was made for it?I am looking for a custom stand for my biocube. I don't think I trust the stand made for the tank so I have been looking for a different stand with no luck. Any suggestions??
If you don’t like the one that they sell for it your only other option For a custom stand is to DIY one yourself Or call around to woodworkers/cabinet makers and have them make you something.I am looking for a custom stand for my biocube. Love the stand, great work!You can always build your own. I was in the same boat with my 60 cube for my office... I bought the tank off of a local and the. stand had some water damage. I just didn't trust it.

I felt the same way about the Biocube stand. It’s particle board with ikea style cam fasteners. Once filled with rock, sand, water and equipment the tank is easily over 400lbs. I decided to go the DIY route and begin making my own. Here is my progress. It’s framed and the inside is shelled with plywood.I am looking for a custom stand for my biocube. Where do you get 400lbs at?I felt the same way about the Biocube stand. It’s particle board with ikea style cam fasteners. My estimate was based onWhere do you get 400lbs at?
Waters 8.34lbs per gallon.
Its a 28g tank, let’s say after displacement you’re left with 25g(probably less if you’re using sand and a good amount of rock)
25x8.34= 208.5
Add to it maybe 20 lbs of sand (a lot for tank that size) and another 20lbs of rock you’re still only at roughly ~250lbs
Quite a bit away from 400
