I don't know. I can't see losing two fish the same time within hours of them happy. There was no fish floating no fish on the bottom no fish in the filter cause they can't get in and no way they jumped and no water trails on the floor. Most importantly killer is not 300 lbs.....A Christmas Mystery.

Some one said I had a new tank yes with 3 fish for 8 weeks. Store said you can have a tank with fish in 5 days I kid you not. Said the same to a friend if mine and he did and does and has coral after two months. Now that I think about it the fire worm is venomous and was on top of the tank where they were maybe he stung them and killed them days before. I don't know but this is odd.

I agree it is very odd 2 fish just go missing. Especially clowns. I'm sure you tried to lure them out with food.

More than I've got!

@Ocean2222 You're getting some solid advice from some well respected reefers here (not me).

As others have said, a full pic of your tank and setup is often very helpful, as are the details of how and when you set your tank up. A lot could have happened here, and a killer file fish is the least likely :)

You buy high-quality live rock specifically for the organisms living in and on it. The overwhelming majority of those organisms are widely considered beneficial to your tank. Very few are such terrors that you have to go nuclear to get them out.

Most of us think of these tanks as a whole ecosystem, with critters large and small, all doing their part to help your tank along. Some may be off-putting to you now, but I think the more you learn about these hitchhikers the more you'll welcome them in your tank.
Yes I'm sure some do. On my first post I stated I didn't want anything poisonous and only friendly. I never asked for these things in my tank if I wanted them I would have paid for them. The store knew what I wanted and didn't take care of there customer needs. I called the store when I saw the fire worm and did as they told me to do. Sorry guys if you want pest come help yourself. I also joke and some don't get that either. Can't please everyone. Anyways I sure learn alot from all of you. Thanks

I think they went through this side and the dogs found them.

The black top blocks light so they are drawn to the exposed area. I've had fish go through a very small opening in a covered top so that was my explanation.
