Nice piece! Vermiculata? I have been having trouble finding any new blue stuff but just ordered that microphthalma on divers den that is purple with nice blue tips. Was hoping it would keep the nice blue tips, but mainly got it because it’s a staghorn, I am on a kick for them for some odd reason.

Looks like a vermiculata to me. Can be tenuis also.

I think vermi normally have shorter branches and a little rounder coralites from what I have seen.
The coralites on this coral used to be like tenuis but they got thicker over time. This colony has been through a lot of parameter swings in my tank and survived. Thank goodness, it turned out to be a nice piece.

So far the only blue Acro I have is the battle corals “snipers blue” and I can’t wait for it to take off.

There aren’t so much blue coral coming in that I notice, but there is a bunch of aquaculture stuff. The stag I got has blue tips so I will post it when it arrives. I would love to see any true blue corals anyone has.

I know there are oregon torts out there. These are nice true blues as well as the hoeksemai. Whatever happened to the hoeksemais and gomezis?

I know right, the Gomezi is probably one of my favorite corals but I haven’t got one yet, the local shop has one it frags but the frags are more than a colony would cost. The growth form and white in the new growth when it’s growing well really is awesome. I never had good luck with hoeks either, even pieces from copps were touchy. I am waiting to hopefully get one in a box one day or find a decent priced piece on la to try again.
