Just came across your build thread and it's looking great! Wish there were more when I was setting mine up. I'm running the Vario S2 and the Nyos 120 after a year of struggling with a bubble magus and couldn't be happier with it. Took a couple weeks to break in with no vinegar bath but it's consistently pulling nice dark skimate now and it's quiet as can be.

That is awesome! I'd like to see the VarioS pumps gain some popularity, I've been running it for a few months now and it is an awesome pump! I ran the Nyos in vinegar for about 5 hours and then dropped it into the tank. I am still working on getting it dialed in perfectly. I replaced my filter socks last night and it went nuts! It is pulling some nasty stuff already though, and I agree very quiet! Which is key for most of us I think!

I agree whole heartedly on the Vario Returns. They were virtually brand new when I got mine with no reviews out there and I couldn't be happier with it. The loudest thing on my tank at this point is the MJ-1200 running my reactor which is only a light hum. Awesome since it's in the living room.

I've updated the thread a few times over the last few days. With the Holiday weekend I was able to knock out some tasks.

My VarioS pump came with a float switch and holder. I decided I would use the holder for my Apex. I also ordered another one from CoralVue ( http://www.coralvue.com/float-switch-mount ) floats sold separately!

Got my Gen2 Ipad mounted to the stand door as a dedicated Apex display. Simple 3M double sided tape does the trick!

48 hours in and the Nyos 120 is doing its job! I did replace the filters socks yesterday and the skimmer went nuts.

BRS had this listed for $11.99 last week so I picked it up.

Got a FedEx notification that my ATO container will be going out today! Should have it in my hands at the end of the week. I'll be glad to ditch the stock Red Sea ATO Container!

I know you've mentioned not wanting to put wholes in your stand. I've used this to mount everything for mine and it works great. Got the idea from a friend who uses it on his boat.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Scotch-2-P..._clickID=0a3b0c08-4b14-45b4-b73f-3dcf418a9617

They also make 1"X1" pieces but you could just cut these down.

I've been using 3M double sided tape on some of the equipment, I'll have to grab me some of this velcro! Thanks for the tip!!!!

Local buddy of mine went to Louisville, KY yesterday and visited Aquatica, he was awesome enough to pickup some snails for the Reefer!
