I am not a huge fan of vortech's however I got a great deal on (2) WES Mp10's (both wireless).... I just am curious how the new models are better (WQD's)? And also what should I upgrade on them or if I should upgrade them at all... I usually run Jebao Rw's but I am going to give these a try since i am running a WXM for my radions..... Also if I decide to sell them what is a good price lol!!! Thanks for the help!

If you plan to keep them, upgrade the wet sides and the drivers. These will make them more quiet. If they work out for you just leave them be. I've got a wQD and a wES and my wQD is definitely more quiet than the wES.

If you decide to sell I'd say between $150-$175 depending on the build year.

I have MP40 ES drivers and motors with QD wet sides and they're ridiculously loud compared to the Jebao PPs they replaced. I love what they can do compared to the Jebaos (anti-sync modes) but man are they loud. I'm sure the 10s are considerably quieter.

Run them as is, they should be fine. If the noise bothers you, upgrade the ES drivers to QD drivers and move the RF "wireless" chip over to the new drivers. In doing so, your MP10wESs will become MO10wQDs.

I did the same, upgraded one of my 4yr old mp10 and holy wow, it's completely near silent now. No more whining. Only thing I hear now is my 2x gyre's pulsing.

Try swapping the RF chips between the two the drivers, then if it picks up the ES and not the QD, you can be certain that it's a bad chip.

I did it. The RF chip is good. I switch the RF chip to the QD its good, but when WES driver doesnt work. Does that mean the Mp40wes need to be send in for update firmware? or there a file that i can update over the computer?

I'd suggest dropping Ecotech Marine a message with your model# and serial# to know for sure.
