@Randy Holmes-Farley I'm assuming this is okay but can you confirm that Clorox "disinfecting bleach" is okay to use for bleaching rock? I know obviously not to use the no-splash bleach but am just making sure I am not missing anything bad that could be in the "disinfecting bleach" branding. Thanks!

I always used bleach but with a long and water changing method. I always wondered about Ammonia

I used the cheap store brand since it was not splashless and did not cobrain other additives. Disinfecting bleach is fine, just try to see if it makes any other claims such as scent, splash, etc.

If it is the type of bleach that I am thinking about, it leaves a residue that will need to be rinsed well. The cheap generic bleach is the best if you can find it.

Yes weeks. I wonder about Boiling since you have to cycle it again anyway. Its still a chemical Randy so relax

Perfect thank you! I made sure it has no scent, splash, etc. I think Clorox had to call it something instead of regular bleach so they went with that now.

Here’s the process I used:

Just poured a fair amount in a 5 gallon bucket with some old rock. Going to let it sit for a day or two then rinse and dry.
