So i finally decided to get a tank. Ive been wanting one for a long time. And of course after a couple months in the hobby i now have two tanks. I'm in south florida.

I got good deals on both. Found a deep blue 48Lx24wx16h. With stand and a reef octopus nwb150 skimmer and a 29 gal tank for sump.
I added a 29gal tank for a fuge, bought 120lbs of caribsea special grade sand, lots of rock from marine depot, a maspect 250 gyre (forgot the model), an ato unit, and dr tims one and only (it works), and lots of macro algaes from gulf coast ecosystems.

Ive got two carberryi anthias, 2 firefish, a pigmy angel, a French angel (hand caught) 2 threadfin cardinals, a dragonette, and a blue star leopard wrasse.

Next i got a crazy deal on a red sea max 250 with an ato and 5 gal tank, an mp40w, a 1/4 hp chiller a couple korilia powerheads and some extras for $100 i couldnt let it get by.

In the process of settin that one up now for FOWLR.
I plan to do mixed reef in the deep blue.

Nice aqua scape. I like how some parts are positioned upwards towards the top of tank.

Did some glass cleaning and a water change yesterday. My leopard wrasse is now out most of the day and is eating mysis shrimp.

Had a colony of hydroids on a piece of macro in the fuge. Pulled them out.

Other tank is cycling nicely. Dosed it to 2 ppm of ammonium chloride and dr tims one and only a week ago . Today it was at .25ppm ammonia and 1ppm nitrite.

So last night. I got home from work and discovered my tank was at 92 degrees. My dog pulled out the temp probe and the heater stayed on.

Luckily the tank was just cycling but the heat must have caused a leak.

I had to take out all the rock and put it n in a brute trash can while i re-siliconed the corners.

I used GE silicone 1 and its been curing for over 24 hours now. I plan to let it cure for at least 48hrs.

Sorry to hear that. As if this hobby doesn't take long enough with just the normal things that need to be waited for!

Let the silicone cure for 72 hrs.

Hows the scape look this time?
