I am the same way. I demand everything to flow together. I took apart my Tek Light and built moonlights in to the fixture just so I didn't have any "lumps" in the fixture.

Got my diy heat sinks made for the troylee brb's haha " blue reef bars" each bar will contain 18 3w cre xpe diodes heat sinks are 24" long... I grabbed a sheet of 1/2" thick aluminum plate and ripped me two 2" strips 24" long on the table saw then I set the blade at half the depth of the material 1/4" and ran it through to make fins... The more surface area you got the cooler it will run..."the whole purpose of a heat sink lol....

Got the brb wired and lit man these new xpe LEDs will blind ya in a second... They lit up a big room with only 36 LEDs.... Lol

That radio active looking thing is a microwave haha... Man there so bright I held them up to my current xre LEDs on the other display and they flood them out.... Super bright man.... Can't wait for the wife to leave the house so I can get them mounted lol..... These are way brighter than reefbrites and a lot cheaper just a win win all the way around...1smile1

Here is some pics of the bars.... I also made a little project box to hold the drivers they will be remote actually right next to the mh ballast to keep the hanging fixture clean and sleek...;) also painted my diy heatsinks to blend in like a gecko haha!!!!

Got them mounted...:xd: I'm in love!!!!! Wow the color is incredible I finally got the color I have been after for years!!!! I have played with everything from mh,t5, LEDs only etc.... And played with almost every bulb!!!! Anyways this is the hot ticket!!!! Awesome color I love it!!!!!
So know my fixture is as follows....
18 three watt Cree xpe royal blues
Back t5s purple plus, blue plus..
Center phoenix 14k 250w mh
Front t5s blue plus, blue plus
18 three watt Cree xre LEDs.....
Insanity!!!! Haha just a little excited....

Scraps from work....we get it in 4x8 sheets I just ripped a little strip off it and went to town...haha
