DLI What should I do?

Lots of buzz about DLI right now but not much about what to do with it. I have the apex par meter and my DLI of 14, so what?? A full SPS tank. I do have problems getting my reds and pink colors. Too high, too low, adjust PAR or adjust lighting time??
