Does the blue LED have actinic properties?

Obviously the newest thing in the fish world is the LED lighting. I understand the cool burn of the LED's make it a win along with their long life. I admit I haven't done much research on them other than asking questions at the local stores without getting a definite answer. Do the LED's give off the same wave length as the actinic 03 bulbs do? Is there a true actinic blue LED?

Maybe there is a great link that explains it all to me. Little help?

Also to add, it also depends on what BIN the LED are from as some LEDs will hue differently based on production. Thats why we were so selective in what we carry. The difference between LEDs can be from, "Blue LEDs lighting up your tank" to, "Actinic POP!"

Royal Blues are about 450nm, Blues tend to be more like 460nm. Actinic should be something between 410 and 420nm. These are hard to find FWIW, so many settle for Royal Blues instead. Many RB's are close, since they do make certain corals 'pop', but its still not the same as a true actinic light.
