As the title said does it? I'm planning to put pods into the sump....here are some questions i have in mind.
  • Does UV sterilizer harm the pods?
  • Where should I put the UV sterilizer (in the sump? the tank?)
  • Also, will they kill off my beneficial bacterias?

In the sump is usually better visually and functionally. From what I've read pods usually aren't in the line long enough to be killed. Lastly, most of the beneficial bacteria lives in the rocks and only a small percentage is in the water column.

UV can kill anything.

What it will kill depends on:
A) what is presently living?
B) what wattage UV? (and how fresh is the bulb?)
C) How is the UV installed?
