Duncan Tentacles

Hello All,

I bought this Duncan my LFS at the weekend. When it opened up it looks like the attached - to be honest, it may have looked like this in the store but I didn't really notice from the angle/position in the tank - anyway.. what is going on with the tentacles? Have these not extended, dropped off or not grown properly?

I accidentally did this to a Duncan when I got too close with a syringe of 12% hydrogen peroxide. It'll grow back like nothing happened.

Looks like something "burned" off the tips. Could be peroxide like last response, also things like high alk or high light.. if all is good now in your tank it will be fine.

I’ve read Duncan’s can do this and causes as many worried reefers and when something molts - but for no reason. However, not experienced it myself so can’t confirm. I assume this is the only issue and there’s no brown jelly?

No brown jelly, it looks really healthy apart from the missing arms! :)

Shrimp or fish also make them do that. Once they get used to it they’re very resilient.
