Could you please fix the ability to edit previous posts forever? It seems that if I create a post/thread, after 10 mins I won't be able to edit it. It is a pain to constantly post new posts for a previous matter when the original post can simply be edited.

How to fix:

Admin CP> Options> Message Posting and Editing Options > Time Limit on Editing Posts > Type 0 in the box

Hehe! I know how to adjust the time edit limit. You have 5 minutes from the start of your thread to edit. To be able to edit permanently you must be a supporting member. It's a perk.

Joining is worth it. You get to edit posts of yours at any time, plus there is monthly giveaways just for supporting members!

Thanks but supporting just so I can edit my posts is not something I will not do. Editing your own words shouldn't be a perk. If it was said based on to support Reef2Reef so that it could stay open to all then, yes I would. So based on what have been said that will be a no-go. Thanks for the response.

I was being a bit facetious. :)

The main reason for not allowing everyone to edit is that we get people who go through and edit post for no good reason and also delete post by removing content. That's the real reason. Most forums do not allow this, especially the more active ones.

No matter if you choose to support or not support the forums, it's cool and I hope you enjoy the community.

Oh and people can support the forums in many other ways besides paying. If you're a good member and help others you could receive a award and have your supporting membership added for free.

Two questions. I can't find the "edit tab", where is it ? In two of my thread's, I just wanted to add a sentence or add information I had forgot, but since I could not see the tab, I had to do a reply. What can I do ? Thanks, Kevin

It's not there since you are past the 5 minute time limit. It's on the bottom left hand side of the post though.

All I see on the bottom left is the triangle "report post" and the star "add to this users reputation". Am I in the correct area or way off. ? lol
