Elegance Coral Shrinking

So I just added an elegance coral to my 400g and it was fine for a month but after I left for a couple of days (neighbor was feeding) and came back, it has shriveled all up, hasn't opened, and didn't grab food like it usually does. Salinity is 1.023. Water change 2 weeks ago. Every other coral is doing alright. pH 8.47. Temp 77.

For me, that salinity would be too low for my liking. I would also verify salinity readings are accurate (e.g. calibrated refractometer).

Thx. I checked again this morning with my refractometer and its still 1.023. Pretty sure the elegance is starting to bail out now. I just can't seem to maintain elegances.
