What i would really like to know is where in the hell these things come from? It seems like when I get a patch of algae they pop up? I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and this is a first for me?

You have got to really hit them hard.
I did my treatment for 6 straight weeks with a total concentration of about 10mg/gal. My system volume is about 200 gallons. I did not want to weigh out portion of a pack, so i used the whole pack.
1st treatment was 2 pks
2nd treatment-3 packs (two weeks later)
3rd treatment -3 packs (Two weeks later)
My treatment ended on 7/2/21 and as of today, 11/4/21 (4 months). No signs of any.
I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it stays that way.
The ones i had in my tank looked that the ones in Daniel's tank

Good luck

No carbon
I did run my skimmer
Thank you! That’ll be my next approach. I would think that 4 months of not seeing them you’re good to go. I used some of the rock from my 125 to start up a 20 gallon and I’m sure they hijacked into the 20 I just haven’t seen them yet. I appreciate your feedback!

Thomas Labs no longer makes the fish medication product. Does any other company make it?

I got these directly from my veterinarian, $15. Call your local vet. According to her this is the exact same thing, I used one of the bags and it worked

Anyone have any luck finding this product online? Fish Bendazole seems to be unavailable everywhere. Is there another alternative?

How did you treatment go? trying to get a hold of some fenbendazole. Considering the dog version.

The dog version is the same thing according to my vet, it’s what I used. I did one treatment and I’ve seen a couple here and there. If I see more I’m going to do another treatment. Just get it from your vet

Thanks. I have no clue how they made it into the tank but it’s not terrible yet so want to try and address it early. I got some on amazon. 2g packets. Can you give me an idea on the dosing. Do you dissolve 1g into 1 gallon of water and dose that into the tank? Although I think I need 1.5 gallons. I have a total water volume of 180 gallons minus rock.

Panacur C Canine Dewormer (fenbendazole), 2 gram

So far so good!! On the last cycle and no clove polyps anywhere… dealing with some nutrient spikes though… high nitrates and phosphates but so far manageable and no other casualties (crossing fingers) so far!

will try to get a pic this weekend

Thanks “all” for all the input and research and experiences that will help me get my tank back to normal!!! Like many of you, I don’t know where those little roaches came from, but now two years later it’s time to say Buh-by!!! One question though that I don’t believe was completely answered. I have a spawning pair of Mandarins. Somewhere in the many posts, I believe I read that fish with no scales shouldn’t be exposed to Fenben. Anyone? Thx

I am fairly certainly i had a mandarin in my tank during the treatment (i no longer have one). As i recalled from my notes, no fish were affected during the treatment period. You should be ok.
I am however very jealous of you, i have been trying to keep mandarins for years without any long term success. They will live for a few months, then die. They are my wife's fav. fish and would love to have them. My tank is cwralling with pods. Go figure.
Good luck with the treatment. I am about 7 months out and no sighs of those pesky critters.
Good ridden :)

Just be careful with dosing i wiped out alot of my corals with this stuff. It did kill the blue cloves though it came with a price.
Can you let us know what corals you lost through the process?

I saw some LPS lose some polyp extension (not as flowy) as well as had quite a few SPS kick the bucket... I'm just curious what your experience was. Thanks!

So Daniel and Menglish and Peanut, I need your expertise. Within the hour, I received a box containing 3 - 4 gram packs of Panacur c at my front door. What are your very best recipes for dosing and how frequent??? Thanks so much.
