Does anybody have Emerald Crabs as part of the cleanup crew? Any concerns about them nipping at soft corals and fish?

They are generally considered reef safe, but most crabs carry a small risk of nipping corals. Only truly reef safe crab I know of is the Pom-Pom crab. It is definitely common for people to have them as part of a CUC.

Ditto to shimps1. If you see one starting to get a taste for your corals just catch it and give it to someone with a mantis shrimp lol. Most of the times you hear stories about emeralds grabbing fish, the fish was unhealthy and most likely going to die anyways. Unless your trying to combat some bubble algae from my personal experience blue legged hermit crabs are a safer bet.

Depends on who you talk to.
Myself, I lost a very healthy pipe fish and several zoanthid frags to a larger emerald crab.

I have three emerald crabs. One small and two fairly large. They have cleaned up so well my tank and rocks shine. They have not bothered any of my softie corals or the small LPS...however the two big ones are the worst bulldozers I have ever seen. Every morning I have to replace rocks. Not just tiny ones, but small fist size rock. They are cool. One needs to aware of their construction tendencies.
