Started half year ago. Was planning a budget build 20g long. Started at about 150 for the whole setup. Then things got out of hand...
About adding 1 item a month in order Ai prime, skimmer, ape, trident, dos.
Stock was gsp, xenia, 2 snowflakes.
One clown committed suicide, and just added a black/white clown to pair.
4 month later I've moved my 2 turtles out of 40g breeder and started moving everything in, and converting 20g in to sump.
6 month later/now ordered too many favia, favite, rim lord during live sale...
Just last week added mp40, builded a new ato reservoir with atk
Currently Sitting around 4-5k? After 6month into salt water
And Clearview custom lid in the making.

Well, I’m probably upwards of what these new Electric Ford F-150 trucks are gonna run lol. Bottom line is I enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble. It’s an obsession for me that I truly love!

My newest is a 10 gallon cube, once the dark storms come out of QT it will easily be over 3k invested. That's not counting things like rodi, testing, and other consumables.

It’s a number that should not be spoken in my home.

Did you see they’re also marketing them as whole home battery backup EV [ahem, for aquarium equipment]?

For me it’s more than a little but less than paying my taxes for the past 10 years.

In all honesty, current tanks 2.5 gallon pico (about $200 - not a reef, simple fowlr). 40 Gallon blue crab tank (about $500 - not a reef just a Atlantic blue crab that was given to me about 4.5-5”). Over all my prior tanks, likely around $7-$10k (10 Gallon Reef, 20 gallon reef, 26 gallon bow front reef, 5.5 gallon reef). I learned very quickly, used is just as good as new for many things.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
